Statistical data on pension applications sent abroad
We send around 7,500 pension applications abroad each year. We send most of them (slightly less than 70%) to Sweden.
Estonia and Norway are second and third (with around 6% each) and Germany fourth (with 4 per cent).
The remaining applications go mainly to Great Britain, Denmark, Switzerland, the United States and France (1-2%/country).
We expect a decline in the number of pension applications sent abroad in the future. Many of the baby boomers worked in Sweden in the 1960s and 1970s. Most of them have already retired.
In five years, we expect to send around 6,400 pension applications abroad.
