Call for Presentation Proposals: ETK Pension Research Forum 2027– Building Pension Security in Fragmented Careers
Are you conducting research on pensions and retirement? We offer you the opportunity to present your work at the third ETK Pension Research Forum to a broad international audience of pension experts, academics, stakeholders and policymakers.
The ETK Pension Research Forum provides a platform for timely pension research. The theme of the third online Forum, to be held on 15 March 2027, is Building Pension Security in Fragmented Careers. We especially, but not exclusively, invite presentations of research on how pension systems adapt to diverse career paths, including entrepreneurship, different forms of non-standard employment and fragmented careers. Contributions may address, for example, pension coverage, retirement income adequacy or policy solutions that support pension accumulation across changing or fragmented careers. Both single-country and comparative studies are welcome.
The ETK Pension Research Forum provides expert commentators for the presentations. The programme will also include a keynote speech by Monika Queisser (OECD). The event will be moderated by researchers from the Finnish Centre for Pensions.

The concept of the Forum
The first online ETK Pension Research Forum was organised in March 2025, with a follow-up in March 2026. These events continue the long-standing tradition of research seminars, international conferences and research webinars organized by the Finnish Centre for Pensions.
The Forum includes two thematic sessions with 2–3 presentations of timely research complemented by insights from distinguished commentators. The previous ETK Pension Research Forums attracted almost 150 online participants, making the Forum a unique platform for presenting and discussing recent findings in pension research with an international audience.
In March 2027, we return with a new edition of the ETK Pension Research Forum, offering an opportunity for scholars and practitioners to engage in discussions about pensions and retirement by sharing their recent findings with an international community.
We look forward to receiving your contribution!
