International conference on Gender Inequalities in Employment and Pensions

One of the keynote speakers at the conference on 18 May 2018 is Prof.  Francesca Bettio, University of Siena. She has a long record of accomplishments working as an expert for the European Commission on matters relating to the female labour market and gender equality. How do family policies and gender inequality on the labour market affect pensions? Why is the gap between men’s and women’s pensions so wide in European countries? What should be done to narrow the gap?

On 18 May 2018, we host an international conference in which experts on pensions and social policy analyse gender inequality in employment and pensions.

The keynote speakers at the conference are Francesca Bettio (University of Siena), Katja Möhring (University of Mannheim), Rense Nieuwenhuis (University of Stockholm), and Kati Kuitto (Finnish Centre for Pensions).

The subject is also discusses by panelists Anna Rotkirch (Family Federation of Finland), Ilkka Kaukoranta (The Central Organization of Finnish Trade Unions SAK) and Juhana Vartiainen (National Coalition Party). The panel discussion will be chaired by Mikko Kautto (Finnish Centre for Pensions).

The free-of-charge conference will be held in English at the Finnish Centre for Pensions.
