This report examines the structure of pension provision and the significance of pension provision agreed in the labour markets in nine different countries. The report clarifies the structure of earnings-related pension provision in certain key countries, as it often has multiple layers and a decentralized administration. The statutory pensions form an important part of pension provision in the countries under comparison, but occupational pensions also play a major part in the total pension provision.
